Scheme objective

A disabled person, with a minimum 40% disability, getting married to a non-disabled person, shall be eligible for a marriage incentive

Eligibility criteria

1. Apply in prescribed form to the concerned District Social Welfare Office, Zillah Parishad & Assistant Commissioner Social Welfare Department, Mumbai Urban & Mumbai Suburban
2. Either of the two getting married – wife or husband – should be disabled
3. Should have a minimum 40% disability
4. Should be Domicile of Maharashtra

Benefits Provides

1. The Eligible couple will get up to Rs.50,000/- as financial assistance.
2. The nature of financial assistance is as below – Saving certificate of rupees 25,000/- Rs. 20,000/- in cash Rs.
3. 4,500/- in form of household utility
4. Rs. 500/- to take part in the marriage incentive program
